Gibson flying v
Gibson Flying V Medallion series, no. 70.
1 of only 350 guitars made in 1971, using honduras mahogany for both the body and neck.
The pickups are 'black sticker patent number' now these, to the expert, are actually second generation PAF's. The pickup surrounds were added for strength, not because of any breakage.
We have seen two of these currently up for sale in the states at $19000 & $17000! However, we're not that greedy!!
EX, Robin Le Mesurier, Used when he was in the rock group Air Supply. Robin has also told us that he used this guitar when he was a womble! Or Wellington to be precise! This did all the Top Of The Pops shows
Robin also used this on all of Rod Stewarts albums between '81-'89, Rod used to call it his 'Flying leg!'
