Gibson Les Paul Goldtop 1979
Late 1970's Les Paul standards, in gold finish, are very rare. This guitar started life as a Les Paul deluxe, with mini humbuckers, and was made at the Kalamazoo plant. At some point in its life she was modified at Talking Music by Mark Reader. Fast forward to 2024, we have rewired to '50's spec wiring with paper and oil caps, but retained the original pots and switch. We have fitted Dimarzio PAF pickups (these themselves were from a '78 guitar.) We took off the roller bridge and replaced with period correct ABR1 (although the original was a Nashville - this looks better!) Naturally reliced through years of use. No headstock breaks. Grovers have been fitted (quite common.) The rosewood fingerboard is almost black in colour. The body is a one piece mahogany. £3499 |

David Thomas McNaught (DTM)
Vintage double cut w/ 3 p90's Handmade on the 27th February 2003, The body is of a neck through design, using Korina wood. Interestingly, this guitar was used at the Juno 2003 music awards in Canada, and was played (Albeit briefly!) by Shania Twain. We believe the fingerboard to be Brazilian Rosewood, but we are waiting on confirmation on this from DTM. Comes with certificate of authenticity and original case. Condition is 10/10! £4,500 |

1980 Greco Super Real (EG800PR or EG600PR)
1980 Greco Super Real (EG800PR or EG600PR) – Triple Humbucker Les Paul Custom Style Vintage Japanese craftsmanship meets Ace Frehley vibes – complete with original case and parts. If you’re looking for an authentic “lawsuit era” Japanese Les Paul Custom-style guitar, this 1980 Greco Super Real is a rare and incredible find. Built around June 26, 1980, this triple-humbucker beast channels the legendary Ace Frehley Budokan LP in all the right ways – with some unique twists of its own. We believe this to be an EG800PR model due to its solid mahogany body and overall construction quality, which exceeds the specs of the more common EG600PR. However, without a clear model stamp or label, this is still up for interpretation – and we’re being transparent about that. What’s absolutely clear is this guitar is from the revered Super Real era – the top tier of Greco's vintage lineup, known for closely emulating the golden-era Gibsons in both feel and tone. Key Features:
Whether you're chasing classic KISS tone, seeking a killer vintage MIJ player, or collecting Japanese masterpieces from the Super Real era – this guitar checks all the boxes. With all original parts included, a rare ebony fretboard, and that unmistakable vintage Les Paul tone, this is a piece of guitar history you won't want to miss. Don’t wait – these Super Real LPs are getting harder to find by the day. £1,499 Click this link to BUY NOW! *Please note, the link above directs you to our official Reverb page. 1969 Gibson Les Paul
Once owned by the late Jim Ellison of Material issue. Comes with an original '69 purple lined Gibson Hardcase. (With COWBOY written on top, thought to be connected to the Southern Rock band with the same name, which we are investigating more) Whilst not a case queen guitar, Jim was well known for getting guitars to be roadworthy, playing instruments. We’ve just given her a re-string and polished the frets and even with the not so great but period correct wrap around tail piece the intonation is bang on. Very much a useable but classic guitar. (It is in the opinion of John and Tony, after further research, that this guitar is a very rare 1969 Les Paul standard. We have only found a picture of one other, in Robb Lawrence's book 'the Les Paul legacy 1968-2009', on page 8. We welcome any opinions on this.) £10,995.00 |

Paul Reed Smith Multi Foil Special in Copper 1988
One of the rarest, most collectible PRS guitars ever produced. A true gem of PRS history, this 1988 Paul Reed Smith Multifoil Special in Copper Foil is one of the most elusive and visually striking electric guitars ever made. With only 48 Multifoil guitars ever produced – and just 12 finished in Copper Foil – this instrument stands among the rarest PRS models to exist. So rare, in fact, it’s not even documented in the official PRS book. Crafted between 1987–1989, the Multifoil series was a bold, experimental run. Due to the extremely delicate lacquering process, many finishes failed over time, making surviving examples like this one incredibly scarce. What was once considered a commercial misstep is now one of the most sought-after collector’s pieces in the PRS world. Key Specs:
Condition: This guitar is in good condition considering its age and the fragility of the finish. It has been carefully stored and maintained – a true survivor and a conversation starter. Some of the images included shows the few marks where the finish did react in production. This is more than a guitar. It’s a piece of electric guitar history. Don’t miss your chance to own a PRS unicorn. £8999.00 Click this link to buy now! *Please note, the link above directs you to our official Reverb page. Gibson SG Special 1969
An all original 1969 Gibson SG This SG started off life as a cherry red, but its many gigs around the Mediterranean has faded the the finish to its more natural brown. The full history behind this vintage guitar, with only one owner from new, it was brought in 1969, brand new from an Ealing music store. The owner of the guitar was best friend with the famed producer Chris Tsangarides, they had played in the same bands together growing up... And if Chris ever needed that P90 sound when he was recording, this is the guitar he would borrow!! -Chris was best known for his work with heavy metal artists: Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Helloween, etc. He also worked with various pop and alt artists such as Depeche Mode and Tom Jones.- A large "Batwing" guard with Vibrola 1969 SG, the serial number on this guitar dates to 1968, however the pots are dated at 1969. This guitar has a lightweight double cut Mahogany body and 22 fret neck, with a rosewood fingerboard. The pick-ups are two "Soapbar" P-90's and also has the Kluson 3-on-a-plate tuning machines. Some areas of wear and minor scuffs in the finish due to the years of gigging, along with the faded cherry finish. While the case is not an original Gibson, it was the case that was given with the guitar when brought from brand new back in 1969. **All original! This means it is without the famed headstock break or any changed tuners!!** The Gibson SG, well known as the favourite guitar of Pete Townsend of The Who, during the late '60's early 70's era. And some bloke called Angus!? An absolute classic, legendary guitar. £5,500 Click this link to BUY NOW! *Please note, the link above directs you to our official Reverb page. Gibson Les Paul '59 reissue 1996
EX-Greg Lake, of ELP. We were told that Greg brought this guitar from chandlers and then traded it in to vintage and rare in London. Gregs guitar tech, has converted this to 50's wiring -Gibson didn't do this in the 90's- and upgraded the caps with "supertones" paper in foil caps. Built in the 1996 during 'good years' (1993-1999) (Pick guard removed for photographs) Link to Greg Lake's web page on THIS guitar We now know that THIS guitar was Gregs favourite guitar. £12,995 |
